|
|
The Central Library of Mokwon University was
established in 1966 and serves the research needs of the student
body and faculty of the University. The Library has its major resources
and service areas on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, and is equipped
with convenient and comfortable facilities. It has a seating capacity
of 1,700, and contains over 340,000 books, over 900 periodicals,
over 20,000 theses and dissertations, over 3,000 CD-ROMs, and another
5,000 important materials. Most of the materials are arranged for
open, free and computerized access. The library also includes the
Library of Visual Materials, Herman Hesse Library, Music Library,
Methodology Library, Ross (reference-one-stop-service)center and
the Library of Animation and Comics. The general reading room is
open 24 hours all the year round. During the spring and fall semesters,
the service hours of the library are generally from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. on weekdays.

¡ÜComputer and Information Center
|
|
The Computer and Information Center supports
the administration of the University, the research activities of
the faculty and graduate students, computer training for undergraduate
students, and computer education for the local community. At present,
the Center has built up a campus-wide network which is based on
the ATM 622Mbps., and currently connects most of the workstations
and PCs on campus. This system also supports the digital library
system, multimedia laboratories, cyber-lectures through satellite,
on-line lectures at home and the Student Service Center system.
Every Mokwoner, including graduates, can use this system at any
place on or off the campus.
