Introduction of Department

Founded in 1954 as a rural pastor training institution under the founding philosophy of truth, love, and service and the Methodist Church founded by John Wesley, the Department of Theology is a first founding department of Mokwon University. This department is designed to cultivate religious leaders who are dedicated to evangelization of the people.

Educational Goal

We seek to cultivate professional pastors who lead the church and society by encouraging systematic inquiry into the Bible and theological theory. It also fosters church leaders who can cultivate the practical skills of the gospel and realize Christian values in human society.
